December Deck of Endless Possibilities Backer Update

Hello Backers,

Thank you for your patience. We know that delays can be frustrating, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding as we adjust our schedule. We would like to express our profound gratitude to all of our Backers and community members who have reached out to us here, on Instagram, or directly. Your compassion is deeply respected and greatly appreciated.

We are in the process of working with our overseas printing partners to establish a solid printing and shipping timeline. As more details become available, especially pertaining to a solid print date—we will provide additional announcements. We will be doing monthly Backer Updates from here on out and apologize for the delay.

In the meantime, we are excited to share our “The Red Opera Deck of Endless Possibilities - Storyteller's Quick Reference Guide.” This 162-page booklet serves as the companion to our The Red Opera: 5E Tarot Deck of Endless Possibilities. It has all-new 5e “The Red Opera”-themed Characters, Spells, Magic Items, Locations, and Adventure Hooks ready to use right now! It will still be some time until the print version is ready; however, we hope you enjoy this PDF as you dive deeper into the lore of The Red Opera and the Warlock-ruled city of Yon’Cath. It will be distributed to you on DriveThru RPG via email. Emjoy!

Speaking of PDFs, we are happy to share that we have begun the process of editing the text for our companion one-shot PDF, The Red Opera: Forsaken Pacts. Once edits are completed, they will be laid out and then sent to backers via digital download. Our completion timeline for this PDF is January 31st, and we will keep you all updated in our monthly Backer Updates. Once this is completed, we will not need to wait for printing or shipping.

We are also excited to share some of our box art for our Tarot deck. The box, itself, is a work of art, and we are pumped to have them in hand!

We will be providing more art in our upcoming monthly Backer Updates, so stay tuned.

Additionally, we are very excited to say that in the coming months, we also will be re-opening our Apotheosis Studios Discord Server. This won’t happen for a few months, and we are still working internally to establish the best practices for this; however, wanted to let you all know the good news!

Thanks again to those of you who have been supportive and compassionate. We know the massive delay on this project is not just frustrating but actually quite troubling to many of you. Rest assured, however, that everyone will get their decks and add-ons—albeit, sadly, very delayed.

Expect another update from us next month with more info!

Tarot Deck and Studio Update

Thank you for your patience. We have had a lot of questions about the future of Apotheosis Studios, its team, and our projects. While Jamison Stone did step down as CEO to take personal time while Apotheosis Studios did an internal investigation on the allegations brought forth by numerous individuals, we in no way claimed that we were removing Jamison from the company. Having completed our internal investigation, we have found that while some individuals had legitimate complaints, the vast majority of the allegations to date levied against Jamison and others on our team have been proven to be inaccurate. Jamison will directly address major allegations and misinformation within the month.

We at Apotheosis Studios do not support abuse in any form. We believe in accountability and the ability for everyone to reflect, learn from their mistakes, grow, and be given the opportunity to show what they’ve learned by actively being better through action. We encourage everyone to stand up for themselves in compassionate ways with the hope to make things better so no one has to live in fear. It is in this honesty that we can learn from one another and each be better for ourselves, our families, and our communities while not furthering abuse, bullying, harassment, and other dehumanizing behaviors.

The Red Opera: 5E Tarot Deck of Endless Possibilities will be delayed while those who are still working on the project deal with the ramifications of the extreme changes that we have had to make due to this situation. We will be sending out merchandise that we already have in hand for US backers first. We will provide additional updates on fulfillment as we know more.

For those of you who have reached out with constructive feedback, we greatly appreciate your support and patience. We will have further updates as more information becomes available.

As a company, our goal is and always has been to create unique content and storylines for role playing and tabletop games that allow for a safe and respectful gaming environment. We will not, and cannot, allow such actions within our company, or with the contractors and consultants we work with. 

Jamison Stone has resigned as CEO effective immediately. The executive team at Apotheosis Studios are discussing the matter internally and will update you with an official statement and decision of company matters as soon as we can.

Hello backers!

We are pleased to announce that The Red Opera: Deck of Endless Possibilities is completed! The deck and accompanying Storyteller's Quick Reference Guide are all done, edited, and approved, with all final adjustments before printing having been made. We are now just awaiting our exact printing date and shipping date from New Titan, and will share them once we know more! How exciting!

Who's Going to Origins Game Fair?

In other news, although our Sirens: Battle of the Bards subclass playtesting may be wrapping up (although not too late!), there will be even more opportunities to explore Salvata if you join Satine and Jamison at Origins Game Fair June 8-12! 

Satine and Jamison are Headlining Origins' Special Guests and will be running games from The Red Opera and Sirens: Battle of the Bards! If you are attending, please drop by and say hello at our booth (#835)! See you there!

BackerKit Surveys Are Coming!

We're excited to say that BackerKit surveys will be going out this week! This is your opportunity to solidify your mailing address and include more epic add-ons to your order, so keep an eye out for an email with that link.

For those of you who backed The Red Opera: Last Days of the Warlock on Foundry VTT, we have additional news! Your Foundry VTT keys are all uploaded, so your custom download codes for our warlock adventure in Yon'Cath will also be coming out this week. BackerKit will automatically send your codes to your email, so please keep an eye out for that once you've finished your survey. For those who backed a VTT from one of our other collaborators we are still waiting for those to be delivered and we will keep you posted as soon as we have an update!
